HP Giving Another Tablet A Second Chance

After the unsuccessful HP TouchPad tablet, HP is again threading the tablet waters again, so to speak. A leaked memo that has gotten into the hands of the Verge Reports, it has been said that there will be a new mobility team for HP and is no way affiliated with the Palm/WebOS Team, who were also behind the lackluster HP TouchPad tablet.

When HP acquired Palm, the $1.2 Billion acquisition gave birth to the HP TouchPad tablet, which unfortunately did not sell very well. The CEO of HP at the time, Leo Apotheker, shelved the tablet immediately resulting to a loss greater than the cost that it took to acquire Palm. Since his replacement by Meg Whitman, former eBay CEO, HP has been planning to go back into the tablet bandwagon and HP Officials said that these tablets will have the Window 8 Operating System.

HP will soon launch a new tablet, that will be handled by the PC Division of the company and will probably be expected to be like HP 500 and HP Slate 2 that made use of Windows 7.
