Notice the difference in the title of this post from our previous posts? It was not so long ago that we repeatedly kept on saying, “____ joins the netbook wars”. And now it’s a different ball game with netbook manufacturers shifting to nettop instead – the netbook’s desktop counterpart.
Of course we’ve seen several of this before with the Eee Box and other brands but it is the first time for HP who brough us the Mini-Note 2133 netbook. HP’s take on the nettop market is the HP Mini-Q 2030 and 2020 which are to debut in the Taiwan market pretty soon.
The HP Mini Q 330 boasts of the Intel 1.6GHz Atom 330 dual core processor plus the following standard netbook features, 2GB of RAM, 160GB HD, and dual-layer DVD burner. This version run Windows Vista. While the HP Mini Q 220 will have 1GB of RAM, Windows XP Home.
The HP Mini-Q 2030 will retail for around $386 and the 2020 will go for $296. Both will be available in the Taiwan market and no words yet as to its international release.
