HP Mini 1000 Hacked to Have a Touchscreen

I really admire netbook  hackers and modders for having to courage to tinker with their machines, opening up the guts and innards just to have features that netbooks would not normally have. I admit I don’t have the courage to do all these things on my precious Eee PC 1000HE.

Take the case of a MyHPMini forum member timm.mccoy who modded his precious HP Mini 1000 to add a 10.2-inch resistive touchscreen feature. Hence, turning his HP Mini 1000 as a pint-size tablet in the likes of the Eee PC T91.

The whole process was rather tediuous and it took a lot of guts from the modder put the touchscreen panel in-between his HP Mini 1000′s LCD and display bezel. He then plugged a USB out connection into one internal USB port of the HP Mini 1000 to get the touchscreen feature.
