HP Mini 110 turned into a smartbook prototype

With all the releases HP has done during the CES, I guess they just had to make do with what they had to make their own smartbook mockup. The company demonstrated a mockup of a smartbook made from the same chassis as an HP Mini 110 with a few tweaks.

The prototype has a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and Google Android OS. It features a touchscreen as well some unique home and back buttons beside the trackpad. The trackpad itself is tweaked since Android doesn’t use cursors for its interface.

While HP doesn’t have plans to enter the smartbook market yet, the prototype does show that they are actively researching on opportunities and we hope it’s going to be thinner and smaller than what they showed off.
