HP Mini 5102 available to purchase fully customised

HP will be releasing their Smart Buy configuration for the business class 5102 netbook next week, for a decent price of $399 but, for those who want more than standard specs, the HP Mini 5102 is now fully customisable. You can purchase the netbook with either Windows XP, Windows 7 Starter/Pro, SUSE Linux 11 or FreeDOS. Storage options include 160GB, 250GB or 320GB for a hard drive, or for SSD, it will be available with 80GB or 128GB. The display will also have several options, the regular 1024×600, or a touch screen 1024×600, or a HD resolution of 1366×768.

Other configurations include an optional Broadcom HD Video Decoder, Bluetooth and 3G card with GPS. Adding all the best features could well cost over $1000. Liliputing point out that, a HD display, 128GB SSD and SUSE Linux will set you back $868. Or if you have the lowest hard drive and resolution options, having SUSE Linux will set you back $119 more than the Smart Buy configuration.
