HP’s TM2t Looking Pretty Impressive

With the tablet craze going strong, you’ll probably be not surprised to find some netbook manufacturers leveraging that into more sales in some way. One of the preferred methods is releasing convertible netbooks, devices that can switch from being a laptop to a netbook with a swivel of the screen. Some of these can be hit-and-miss, but HP’s TM2t is looking pretty good.
First of all, at 12 inches, the TM2t is a little bigger than the average netbook. There is a very good reason for this as it packs in quite a few features that make it a good buy. Powered by a Core i3 CPU and running Windows 7, it also comes with 500 gigs of storage and 4 gigs of DDR3 RAM. That’s a lot of power for a netbook. The main feature is, of course, the convertible screen – with just a swivel, you’ll have a tablet instead of a netbook.
The screen is a bit too bright, but it’s workable. The durable and beautiful design make it a good choice for travel. Plus, the battery life is impressive, coupled with the performance that can be squeezed out of it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have Firewire, eSATA, USB 3.0, an optical drive or dedicated docking station. Thankfully, it does have WiFi and Bluetooth.
Selling at around $879.99, it can be an expensive buy, but it’ll make up for it with its obvious performance.
