HTC working on Flyer successor

While there’s been a slew of smartphones released by Taiwanese company HTC, we haven’t seen many tablets from them. In the UK, HTC released the Flyer and the US saw the Jetstream which had a few improvements over the Flyer, such as a dual core processor, larger screen and resolution. A spokesperson from HTC has confirmed that they are working on a new tablet.
Nothing is known about the tablet yet and PC Advisor were told that the company were waiting until they had something unique to offer the tablet market. HTC tried this route with the Scribe pen with the Flyer but, the £500 price tag for the Wifi only 16GB model saw very little up take as it was considerably more expensive than other tablets on the market, including the iPad. It’s unclear at this point if HTC will be releasing a tablet to compete with the iPad and higher end tablets, or will be trying to offer something to compete against the sub £200 Google Nexus 7. Which ever route HTC take though, let’s hope the price is competitively priced this time round.
