Huawei Unveils MediaPad 7 Lite Tablet
The China-based company Huawei has come up with a new tablet called the MediaPad 7 Lite. An Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich slate, this device looks sleek with a unibody chassis made of aluminum that allows it to be sturdy but lightweight at the same time. The device measures 193 mm x 120 mm x 11 mm and weighs around 370g.
Its display is a WSVGA Capacitive touchscreen with support for multi-touch gestures. As the tablet’s name implies, its screen measures 7 inches diagonally. This display has a resolution of 1024 X 600p, allowing viewers to enjoy videos images in excellent quality. Its RAM is a full gigabyte while its flash memory is 8 GB, but users can still opt to expand this for up to 32GB by popping in a microSD card. Two cameras are onboard, including a front-facing 0.3-megapixel snapper and a 3.2-megapixel shooter.
As for connectivity, the MediaPad 7 Lite provides micro USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and Bluetooth 3.0. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and e-compass are likewise offered. It offers access to Google Play and comes with pre-loaded apps like Youtube, Maps, Movie, Search, and Mail, among others.
Huawei has not announced a price for this tablet yet. It has furthermore not revealed when it will arrive on market shelves or in which areas the device will be released.
