Intel StoryBook Tablet PC to Launch Soon

Intel seems to bring out lower end tablets in the emerging market such as the new slate unit called StoryBook. It will then intend to gain same sales as the Classmate PC model that has been in the tablet field for about five years.

The StoryBook tablet has a 10-inch screen display with Intel’s Medfield firmware. This slate will be on a dual operating system and the focused market will be the China and Brazil.

The Notebook maker Elitegroup Computer Systems, that has been a partner of Intel, will be assigned to take over the production of these StoryBook tablets. It is expected that this tablet PC will launch some time during the second half of this year and will targeted retail hubs having a price of less than 299 US Dollars.

Malata company from China which happens to be the maker of Allview tablets sold in Romania, will also be part of this innovation by taking orders for the new device. However, the two software platforms part of the dual OS setup are still unknown, Windows 7 or 8 and the Android perhaps.
