Intel Updates the Classmate PC Tablet Netbook

At the ongoing CeBIT in Germany, Intel has decided to unleash the latest iteration of its infamous Classmate PC tablet/netbook/mini notebook. Expectedly, the new Classmate PC is loaded with the latest Intel Atom Pine Trail platform.

But apart from that, the official release states that the new Classmate PC’s major selling point is its rugged feature. As if the ruggedness of its previous version is not enough, Intel made this latest version even more rugged and also features a water resistant, anti-microbial keyboard. It also has a hard drive protection plus rubberized bottom.

The new Intel Classmate PC’s other features include

  • Intel Atom N450 Processor
  • WiFi, 3G, GPS, WiMAX
  • 8.5 hours batter life
  • 10.1-inch LCD monitor (1024×600)
  • built-in rotation camera
  • accelerometer

Plus a whole lot more netbook bling, blings here and there.

No words yet on pricing and release date. Although I’m pretty sure , you’re not really interested to know. :-)
