Introducing the Skytone Google Android Netbook

Well, it looks like the Chinese PC manufacturers have beaten their rivals in coming up with the first officially announced Google Android netbook. From Skytone of China comes the Alpha 600 netbook. And although this netbook has a higher model number than the Razorbook copy cat Alpha 400, it doesn’t seem to have that much difference in terms of specs and features.
Let’s see, the Skytone Alpha 600 boasts of the following specs:
- 7-inch TFT LCD True Color Display
- 800×480 WVGA LCD (flip around touchscreen)
- 128MB RAM
- 1GB Nand Flash SSD
- ARM11 533 MHz 32bit CPU
- WiFi, Ethernet
- 2 USB ports
- SD/MMC card slot
- 80 key keyboard, capacitive touchpad
While this may not the most impressive netbook specs, the Skytone Alpha 600 will just have to pride itself with the fact that it is running Google’s Android OS.
And guess how much the Alpha 600 would cost? – Just around $100. Given that price, we guess the specs are just about what you can get for that amount.
So, any takers?
