iPad to get pressure-sensitive drawing feature via software
Is there anything that the iOS-powered Apple iPad can’t do? The answer is no, as long as there’s an app for that. Stylus maker Ten One Design have revealed its plans to release a free software library that can be used in any application based in Apple’s iOS to enable pressure-sensitivity on the iPad’s touchscreen retina display. How they will be able to pull off a usually hardware-based feature via software might be considered by some as nothing short of magical, but in reality it is going to be done with a private call function and possibly with one of their compatible styluses. There’s no word on an official release date but you can be sure that a lot of people will be looking forward to see this happen on the iPad. Watch a video about it after the break.
