Is AT&T Getting the HP Compaq Airlife 100 Smartbook

The Compaq Airlife 100 is HP’s first entry into the smartbook market. It is supposed to come out anytime next month and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon ARM-based CPU and integrated 3G modem.

Now here’s the interesting part about this smartbook. Wireless Goodness chanced upon an FCC filing for the Airlife 100 recently. And the documentation mentioned something about the smartbook supporting GSM 850, GSM 900 frequencies, WCDMA bands II and V. These frequency bands in case you’re not aware are the bands used by AT&T’s mobile broadband network in the U.S.

Does this mean that AT&T will be releasing the HP Compaq Airlife 100 when it gets launched or you can get a 3G data plan from AT&T and use it on your Airlife 100?
