Either we envy our netbook-loving friends in Japan or pity them for having yet again some new Eee PC variants in the market made available by Asus. The first of these Eee PCs is the S101H which doesn’t require a bright mind to deduce that it is different from the original Eee PC S101 by virtue of its HDD storage instead of the previous SSDs.
So, if you’ve been thinking of getting this thick netbook but was disappointed with the lack of HD drive, then this is your chance to own an Eee PC S101 that suits your needs. But whether you’d go for the HDD or SSD, you’d still get the same specs and features as the original S101.
The Eee PC S101H now max out a good 160GB of storage.
Aside from Eee PC S101H, our Japanese friends would also get the Eee PC 1002HA which is practically an Eee PC 1000H trapped in a new body. Meaning there’s not much any difference in specs and features as well.
The Eee PC S101h and Eee PC 1000HA will be available in Japan on Saturday. No words yet on pricing.
