Korean kids got a new toy to play with and its called the LUKID. Manufactured by Korean PC manufacturer Daewoo Lucoms, the LUKID looks almost exactly like Intel’s Classmate PC. Actually it was based from Intel’s Classmate PC, and so we learned. Even its features and specifications are very similar to Intel’s netbook.
Available for the Korean market, the LUKID retails for around $547 (549,000 KRW). Pretty expensive if you may ask us.
Anyways, here’s a rundown of the LUKID features and specifications:
- 900MHz Intel Celeron processor
- Windows XP OS
- 9-inch LCD display
- 512 MB RAM
- 30GB HDD
- WIFI
- SD Card Slot
- USB Port
- 6 cell Li-ion battery
- .3-Megapixel Camera

It’s great that they are aiming these at kids, but kids like colors. Do these come in any other color than grey?
It would be helpful to let kids talk about what they want and need in a netbook, don’t you think? That’s why sites like http://www.NetbookKidz.com are cool.
