Latitude 10: Dell’s Upcoming Windows 8 Tablet PC
Images of the new Windows 8 tablet from Dell have been leaked. A while back, the company had announced that it had been developing the device. However, it had kept silent on the specifications of the tablet. Now, if the leaked images published by Neowin are authentic, the public can now have a first look at the tablet.
The tablet sports a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and stylus support. Under the hood is a dual-core Intel Atom Clover Trail processor. The device has 2 GB of LP DDR2 RAM at 800 MHz and a choice between a hard disk drive and a Solid State Disk with a capacity of 128 GB. Legacy Windows apps will run on this device as well as the new Metro apps that come with the Windows 8 Operating System.
The tablet also comes packed with a 2 megapixel front camera and an 8 megapixel camera. A fingerprint reader is also onboard as well as a micro USB port. The device is powered by 2 cell or 4 cell removable batteries with 30Whr and 60Whr, respectively.
The tablet measures 10.8 x 7 x 0.4 inches and weighs 1.6 approximately lbs. Appearance-wise, it looks somewhat like the Dell Latitude ST and is possibly aimed at enterprise users.
