Lemote netbook comes with all open-source software, hackers rejoice

While most netbooks can be easily loaded with Ubuntu and other open source tools, Lemote plans to show off one where all the pre-bundled software are open-sourced.

We previously saw them here with their tiny Fuloong netbook, they are now releasing a slightly larger 8.9″ Yeeloong 8089. Like the previous device, this also has an 800Mhz Longsoon processor, 3 USB ports, up to 1GB DDR2 RAM, up to 8GB SSD or 160GB HDD, webcam and USB WiFi adapter. The OS is going to be Google’s Android. To top off the mod-friendly software is the presence of an internal USB. No price or release date announced yet though.
