Lenovo downplays slate tablet hype
Lenovo seems to have the same notion on slates similar to what Acer sees for eReaders. Mika Majapuro, senior worldwide product marketing manager of Lenovo, states that their customer research tells them that people want a physical keyboard attached to their tablet. They also did research to younger users who said that they also prefer the feel of a real keyboard.
You have to note though that Lenovo hasn’t announced any slates yet and have instead poured large investments on ThinkPad and IdeaPad tablets like the X201 and the S10-3t. You have to wonder though if this research isn’t skewed a bit.
