Officially Lenovo has joined the 12-inch netbook bandwagon as the company releases the IdeaPad S12 netbook. The IdeaPad S12 is now up for grabs at the Lenovo online store with a list price of $499.
Aside from a bigger display, another feature that makes the Lenovo IdeaPad S12 interesting is its NVIDIA Ion Chipset which is also found on Acer AspireRevo nettop. This renders the S12 pretty useful when handline 1080p video and of course earned it the distinction of being the first netbook to have the said chipset.
Other than these two mentioned features, practically everything about the Lenovo IdeaPad S12 is your usual netbook fare. Quick rundown of specs follow:
- 1.6GHz Intel Atom Processor
- 1GB RAM
- 12-inch LED-backlit LCD
- 160GB/250GB/320GB HDD
- Bluetooth, WiFi
- 3 USB ports
- Ethernet Jack
- VGA/HDMI
