Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Gets Confused with its Identity
Lenovo just announced its new IdeaPad U1 laptop that doubles up as a tablet PC. It’s an 11.6-inch machine that features a retractable multi-touch screen, enough for you to make it as a tablet PC.
The Lenovo IdeaPad U1 is powered by CULV Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium. Now here’s the interesting part, when you pulled the screen from its shell the IdeaPad U1 suddenly becomes a multi-touch slate powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon and loaded with a 16GB SSD. Having fun yet? Wait, there’s more, the IdeaPad U1 uses the SSD to power up Lenovo’s Skylight Linux interface.
So, that practically makes the IdeaPad U1 as a dual-OS and dual CPU machine. The downside? You will have to shell out $999 to get the Lenovo IdeaPad U1 when it comes out in June.
