Lenovo Introduces New Classmate+ Laptops

Lenovo has just introduced the company’s second generation Classmate + laptops intended for educational environment. This generation of Classmate + laptops have a tougher design and up to 10 hours of battery life.
The new Classmate+ laptops features tougher corner design, reinforced steel hinges, strengthened DC jacks as well as a better keyboard with enhanced water resistance. It has a 10.1-inch display which can be configured to feature a high-brightness or high-definition panel with optional capacitive touch screen support or anti-glare coating.
On the inside, the The new Classmate+ laptop is built on Intel’s new Cedar Trail platform so they get an Intel Atom N2600 processor, seconded by 2GB DDR3 memory and up to a 320GB hard drive or 32GB solid state drive. A 6-cell battery is standard in both the convertible and the clamshell models, which should deliver 10 hours of running time. On the connectivity front, the laptops feature three USB ports, VGA and an optional HDMI port as well as a 2MP resolution camera.
The Lenovo Classmate+ laptop and Convertible laptop will be available in January, but are limited to education and government customers only. Prices were not unveiled as these depend on regional taxes, tariffs as well as configuration options.
