Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet Gets McAfee Mobile Security

A portable, Android-loaded electronic is all well and good. However, without any means of safeguarding data, then this is going to be a great liability. For this reason, Lenovo and McAfee formed a partnership in order for the latter to provide Mobile Security solutions to the former’s ThinkPad Android tablet. This makes one major step forward for McAfee in becoming the main mobile security in the market and marks Lenovo’s first major success in meeting business needs for file safety.

Android tablets themselves are relatively new in the business sector, so it took some time for strong security solutions to come around. Nonetheless, the wait is over as  the ThinkPad Tablet now comes pre-loaded with McAfee’s Mobile Security software. The software comes with a 30-day trial, after which users will have to buy the license and activate it.

As for the tablet’s specs, ThinkPad is built on an NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC (system-on-chip), with a dual-core ARM CPU clocked at 1GHz. The 10.1-inch display has a 1,280 x 800 screen resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass, for damage resistance. It comes with 64GB of storage, along with multitouch support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, native USB 2.0, microUSB, mini-HDMI and a full-size SD card slot.
