Lenovo ThinkPad Twist Now Available for as Low as $829; $800 from Staples

Lenovo ThinkPad Twist is 12.5-inch notebook that has a 180 degrees rotation ability turning it into a tablet. The device features an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 of the Ivy Bridge generation with a 3G option boot and is made of Corning’s Gorilla Glass with 1,366 x 768p resolution.

The tablet has a starting price of $829 while you can also pick up one from Staples for $799.99.

The ThinkPad Twist measures 12.3″ x 9.3″ x 0.8″ and weighs 3.5 pounds. It features Bluetooth and WiFi, with 2 USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet, mini HDMI and DisplayPort jacks, and a flash card reader on the sides. According to Lenovo, the device should get up to 7 hours of battery life.

The ThinkPad Twist does not have an active digitizer or digital pen for writing or drawing on the screen as contrasted to the more expensive ThinkPad line. The tablet is designed to be used with your fingers.

For those who prefer the classic ThinkPad TrackPoint system, the Twist has both a touchpad beneath the keyboard and a pointing stick in the center.

Lenovo’s IdeaPad Yoga 11 Windows RT tablet and ThinkPad Tablet 2 are expected to launch before the end of the year while the IdeaPad Yoga 13 notebook/tablet hybrid is already available for $999.
