Gizmodo is showing a photo gallery of a red variant of the OLPC XO. If you haven’t forgotten about this netbook yet, it was originally available in green and white design. The red colored OLPC XO is intended for developers working on the dual boot Sugar Linux and Windows XP system version of the OLPC XO.

Aside from the red color, the OLPC XO which runs on a limited 100 units, comes with 2GB of flash memory which is enough to run Windows XP.

There’s also a slim chance that the red OLPC XO will be available for commercial release.  Which in our honest opinion doesn’t seem to be a lost either to all of us netbook lovers, since frankly, the red color variant makes the OLPC XO looks even more like a kid’s toy.
