Linux Gets MultiTouch Support, Demo’d On A NetBook Tablet
Posted in: 10-inch, Linux, tablet, tags: dell mini, Linux, multitouch, slate pc, stantum
Linux users now have something to show off on their touch-enabled netbooks with this new drivers developed by ENAC’s Interactive Computing Lab in France. The new technology was demostrated on a Stantum Slate PC running Linux Fedora 12. It supports up to 10 simultaneous touches though it does need some hardcore tweaking to run it. Although Windows 7 has multitouch built-in, Linux doesn’t and we’re hoping new distros can take advantage of this and make it available to new and old Linux users in the near future. For now, hit the link below to see it in action.
