Matrix One Android 4 ICS Tablet: An Affordable Alternative

Fancy yourself a pink tablet like the one above? Well, you can get one for the low low price of $89 (€73).

Why so low you ask? Well, it doesn’t have all the usual high end features like dual core or double digit megapixel cameras but it does host Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for its OS so we can forgive its shortcomings.

It carries a 1.5GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and the basic model has 512MB RAM and 4GB storage and shelling out a couple of Jacksons (that’s $20 for you non-US folks) will get you 1GB RAM and 16GB storage instead. It also comes with a 2MP camera up front for video chats and a full-sized USB slot so you can transfer files to your heart’s content. There’s an HDMI connector in there too though we’re not sure if it can handle HD streaming.
