MeeGo now installing at a netbook near you

Nokia’s been hard at work building up code for their new unified OS that they want to pit against Google’s Chrome OS. MeeGo has just come out of the factory and is ready to install in your netbook. It’s also available for handhelds though it’s for the Nokia N900 and not regular phone kind.

Intel and Nokia joined forces to develop this new operating system that will run not only on portables but also on certain phones. One of its distinct features is that you need to only make one app for both desktop and mobile computers, so that faster development and wider reach – a double win for devs everywhere.

If you’re raring to try this system out, grab a copy here. I’m sure a few early adopting folks will have a review of this pretty soon as well.
