Microsoft Surface to go on sale October 26th?

When Microsoft announced their entry into the tablet market with the Surface and Surface Pro tablets, a release date was unknown. The only information surrounding the tablet’s launch was that the Surface would launch at the same time as Windows 8 is released. While the Surface Pro will arrive 3 months later. Microsoft have now given Windows 8 a release date of October 26th 2012.

This should mean the Microsoft Surface tablet should also launch on October 26th, while the Surface Pro should arrive in stores January 2013, missing the Christmas period. Unfortunately, with the announcement of the Windows 8 release date, Microsoft haven’t mentioned the Surface in the press release but, hopefully we will hear an official confirmation on the Surface release date from Microsoft shortly.
