Mobience smallQWERTY adds a mini wireless keypad to your portable

Slate tablets don’t come with keyboards, that’s a fact. And they don’t offer the satisfying clickety-clack of typing on a real keyboard. Mobience has a solution that’s worth checking out.

The smallQWERTY keyboard is a tiny mobile phone type keypad that you can use with any compatible device to type in anything. The form factor is very small, like the keyboard half of a smartphone, and the format should be familiar to those used to sending SMS via their cellphone. It even has some extra keys for good measure like tab, directional keys and shortcuts.

It’s still in the concept stage though and no word on any other details other than what you see above. I’m not even sure what connection it will use to pair with your device, probably Bluetooth. It’s a neat device that will save you from lugging around a huge keyboard to pair with your tablet and might even work with other devices like smartphones and regular computers. I hope I can configure this baby to control all my computers, like a remote control for every unit in the house.
