Motorola Planning An Android Tablet?

Here’s another rumor circulating around tablet circles. Motorola, the mobile phone giant, is supposedly developing an Android tablet. This maybe a symptom of the current tablet craze but it can also be very real. The big three cellphone makers, Motorola, Samsung and Nokia already have experience in making smart phones – and that is a good enough stepping stone to develop your own tablet. After all, the iPad is essentially the iPhone writ large. The only stumbling block that they will be facing is getting the appropriate OS. Android is perfect for this, because its Linux-based kernel make it extremely modifiable and that is all the designers have to worry about.
I would not be surprised if the big three will soon have their own tablets on the market. The question is when and if they’re going to be successful.
