Said update is already available for users of the Wi-Fi-only tablet residing in the United States. On the other hand users of the tablet capable of 3G as well as foreign ones will have to be patient as it takes some time for the update to be also available for them. During the last update for Xoom, it took at least a month for this to happen.

In any case, US-based users of the Motorola Wi-Fi Xoom will receive a notification for the update, that is, if they are currently on Wi-Fi when it arrives. Otherwise, the notification will arrive the next time the user switches on the device and turns on the Wi-Fi functionality.
