Mouse Computer Announces A New HD Netbook

Well, this is a pleasant surprise. Mouse Computer of Japan is releasing the Luvbook M series of netbooks. The main feature of this netbook series will be the use of  a 720p 1280 x 720 10-inch screen and the use of some higher than average specs. The company’s basic model will have basic specs: an Atom N450 processor, a gig of RAM, a 120GB hard drive and a pre-loaded Windows XP Home. The improved model will get twice the ram and nearly triple the storage and Windows 7.  There will also be a version that replaces the hard drive with a 40 gig SSD for an additional hundred dollars.  The basic model will cost around 300 dollars, while the improved model will take a 400 dollar bite out of your wallet.

Here are the other specs:

  • Two USB 2.0 ports
  • Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wi-FI, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
  • A card reader
  • A 1.3MP webcam and audio jacks.
  • The 3-cell battery will last for over 3 hours.

Now the problem is getting a copy outside of Japan – Mouse Computer seems to be only focusing on a domestic release at first. No news if there will be any international releases.
