MSI Aims to Ship 300K Units of the Wind
While Asustek may have gone too far with its sales projection of the Eee PC, MSI was quite conservative with its own sales projection of the MSI Wind. MSI is hoping to ship at least 300,000 to 500,000 units of the MSI Wind this year. Joseph Hsu, chairman of MSI said that the projection is enough for MSI to reach its total 2 million target for the the shipment of its notebook products.
To achieve this target, MSI will focus its strategy to the emerging markets in Eastern Europe, Central and South America, China and India, wit the hopes that this will take them to the list of top-ten notebooks in 2010.
Although MSI is pretty much confident that they wil reach their target, HSU however believes that the shortage of the Atom processors which is expected to happen sometime in September may hamper them from attaining their sales objectives.
