MSI has just confirmed the new touch-enabled MSI Wind U150 netbook. It’s not clear yet whether this will be in netvertible tablet form or your usual netbook form factor. One thing is for sure though, it will definitely be competiting against the Asus Eee PC T91 and its future iterations.

The said Wind U150 netbook which is scheduled to be announced in CES 2010 will be loaded with Intel’s soon to be available Pine Trail Atom platform. And since Windows 7 is already out by then, the Wind U150 will definitely have Microsoft’s new OS.

Unfortunately though, the netbook might not support Windows 7’s touch pack apps since it will not have a capacitive screen.

Still a long way to go before we see this Wind touch-enabled netbook, hopefully MSI will come up with more innovative ideas and apply to the final version of the U150. Otherwise, it might just eat the dust left behind by the Eee PC T91.
