MSI is going to release Asus EEE’s competitor in the form of a cheap 7′ notebook Diamondville. Many people have compared this cheap notebook as Rival or Killer of Asus EEE PC’s market, but the information regarding to Diamondville is not enough to rate it as a Killer of EEE PC’s market.

This laptop will be based on the 45nm Intel’s diamondville processor.  The architecture seems to be same as that of EEE PC. Weight < 1kg, 7′ screen with a price tag of US$248.

MSI relies on Diamondville chip to complete this project. Most probably, the chip will be available in April.
