MSI Unveils CX61 and CR61 Multimedia Laptops
Micro Star International or MSI has come up with the CX61 and CR61, two multimedia laptops. One of their noteworthy features is their readiness for upgrade for Windows 8 OS which will get released in a few months. Another is that the design of the notebooks has been inspired by expensive race cars with its royal bronze coloring and crystal diamond design on the touchpad.
The two laptops are in fact very similar with each other, but the CR61 has better graphics than the CX61 because of the presence of the NVIDIA GeForce GT640M GPU in it with 2 GB of VRAM. On the other hand, the CX61 has the integrated GPU with the Intel Core i CPU. This CPU has Turbo Boost 2.0 that enhances performance by computing for how much processor demand the current task needs and forcing the processor to meet those needs.
Both devices have SRS PC Sound installed, which has been dubbed as cinema-level, so this could help the device live up to its name as multimedia notebooks. Ports like HDMI 1.4, USB 2.0, and USB 3.0 enable the device to be connected to others.
Lastly, the notebooks have Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as a handy DVD Super multi optical drive.
No word is available on its pricing or exactly when consumers can avail of the products.
