Must have Linux utilities for netbooks

Windows XP based netbooks aren’t the only netbooks that can have applications that enhance the netbook experience. Linux-Magazine have posted up a list of five apps that are sure to bring “netbook bliss” to Linux run netbooks.
The first application which gets a mention is “Day Planner“. This app will help you keep track of your daily activities through it’s simple interface. Below the calendar a list of upcoming events is displayed. The type of events Day Planner supports is: Normal, All day and Birthday.
For keeping your data safe, Conduit is the recommended application. Conduit allows users to upload photos to their Flickr account, or back up files to Box.net.
With the next application on the list, Droopy allows users to send their files to your netbook directly instead of using another service such as Sendspace.
To keep track of your bookmarks, task lists, contact information and more, TreeLine is described as a “perfect tool” to do so. Text snippets can also be organised with this handy app while the next and final app on the list allows you to manage text snippets. TiddlyWiki will treat notes as small containers named tiddlers which can be hidden or shown.
