Neofonie launches the WePad
German gadget firm Neofonie really have their sights set on grabbing money off the tablet table, specifically off the iPad. They recently pushed forward and launched the WePad at an event in their home country and here are the specs:

- Dimensions: 11.3″ x 7.5″ x 0.5″
- Weight: 1.8 pounds
It supports 1080p HD playback which is great news. It uses a Broadcom Crystal HD chip for that. Furthermore, you can output the video through its HDMI port. It also reportedly works well with Flash.
German buyers will get their first taste of this tablet on April 27th for €449 (US$610).
