Netbook Makers to Shift Focus on Tablet Netbooks
Although Asus has gone way ahead of its major competitors, this would not stop MSI, HP and Dell to start planning for their next netbook releases. And this time their netbooks would also go in the line of the tablet/touchscreen forms like the Asus Eee PC T91. But not only would this netbook manufacturers do this to spite of Asus but also because they are preparing for one stiff competitor. And that happens to be Apple which is rumored to be releasing its own tablet, netbook-like mini machine before the year ends.
So, MSI is gearing up to launch a 10-inch tablet netbook during the early part of 2010. Following MSI is HP which set to come up with its own tablet netbook to be manufactured by Inventec. This shall come sometime in April or May 2010. MSI and HP’s tablet netbooks are reportedly getting Intel’s Pine Trail-M platform.
Asus is also planning to follow–up on its tablet netbook by releasing a 10-inch model that would also come with Windows 7. No words yet as to when this will happen though.
So, are you shifting to tablet netbooks should they become as hot as the netbooks that we used to know?
