New 12-Inch Eee PC Shows Up at the Asus Site
Posted in: Netbook, asus, eeepc, tags: eee pc 1201HAHere comes another Eee PC machine with a 12-inch display – the Eee PC 1201HA. Specs of this still unannounced machine showed up at the Asus support site.
From what was indicated at the site, the Eee PC 1201HA will have an Intel Chipset US15W. Other specs include Intel Atom N270 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 250GB of HDD, 6-cell battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Windows 7 Home Premium.
As compared to the previously reported Eee PC 1201N, this Eee PC have the “HA” code which means it belongs to the Seashell series.
The Eee PC 1201HA will have a price tag of around $499 and will most probably be released in Q4 2009.

Actually, so far in EEE PC notifications H stood for hard drive (as opposed to an SSD drive) and A stood for Atom (as opposed to Celeron D, which Asus does not appear to use any longer). So HA means, the new model would be Atom-based and would feature a hard drive, it does not necessarily mean that it would be from the seashell series, although it might be. We’ll see.
Yes, I agree with Milen. It would more likely be a Seashell form if it was a 1205 or a 1208, going on how they have named the 10″ seashells.
