New BlackBerry Playbook 4G Coming Soon

A new Blackberry Playbook is set to roll out before the middle of 2012. According to RIM, this new device will have a list of exciting new functionalities and features. They also revealed that the device will be launched after the finalization of the new OS for Blackberry gadgets, OS2.
The new Blackberry Playbook, now variously termed the Playbook 2 or the 4G Playbook will, most likely, have a similar appearance with its predecessor. It is expected to carry a dual-core 1.5 GHZ processor and 1 GB of RAM. The useful HDMI port, which allows users to connect it to a larger screen without losing data during the transmission, will also be kept in the new Playbook.
However, its selling point will perhaps be the fact that the Blackberry Playbook 2 will come equipped with 4G functionality. This means a much faster data connection for mobile Internet users, and that users will now be able to use a SIM card with their Playbook.
Another exciting features that the Playbook 2 will likely have is Near-Field-Communication. This will enable users to communicate with adjacent gadgets. It also comes with Google Wallet, a mobile app that serves as a virtual storage of money which may be used to pay in partner establishments.
With these added functions, RIM might just open up a new demographic.
