New Eee PC 1000HE BIOS Does Video Better
If you’re using your Eee PC 1000HE mostly for watching videos, you’d certainly need the new BIOS update made available by Asus recently. Reports from those who tried this new BIOS show that it frees up some valuable memory from your Eee PC 1000HE when playing video. Hence giving you a slightly better viewing of high-definition videos. It also improves gaming display and other activities which requires heavy graphics capabilities.
Even better, as one EeeUser Forum member did, was to overclock your 1000HE at 1.9GHz. This will enable you to watch Hulu, Netflix and YouTube videos better than when your 1000HE is at its regular settings and old BIOS.
But before you update your 1000HE’s BIOS, you ought to know that doing so would remove your netbook’s support for DOLBY sound. So, it’s going to be a tough decision choosing sound over audio. I think I’ll go for video though.
