New iPad available to pre-order for March 16th release

Apple unveiled the next generation iPad earlier on today. The new iPad will take on the iPad 2′s price point with the basic model starting at $499 for 16GB of storage and Wifi. While the 32GB will set you back $599 and $699 for the 64GB Wifi model. The 16Gb, 32GB and 64GB LTE 4G models will be priced $629, $729 and $829 respectfully.

Apple will launch the new iPad on March 16th in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Australia and you can pre-order now from the Apple website. The new iPad will be released 23rd March in other countries.
