New Netbook CPU in the Works in China
If some Chinese technology organizations will push their new project, we might soon be seeing new netbooks in the market equipped with new CPU modules.
Netbook News is reporting that the Chinese Institute of Computing Technology and U.S. firm Vivante are collaborating on a new ICT project to developy a more energgy efficient system-on-chip design.
The new CPUs called Loongson or Godson CPU is used in partnership with MIPS processor. This new CPU will not be compatible with Intel, AMD and VIA CPUs.
The chips that will be used for the said product comes from a 90-nanometar production process with a clock rate of 1GHz.
