Nokia 3G Booklet Price Features and Other Goodies

So, it seems that all rumors pointing to the features of the Nokia 3G Booklet which leaked out a couple of days ago are true after all. Nokia has officially announced its 3G Booklet, complete with video demo at the ongoing Nokia World 09 event.

Aside from the 12-hour battery life, A-GPS, mobile connectivity features and other rare features of the 3G Booklet, we now know that Nokia’s netbook will be available in three colors – black, white and blue.

No release date yet for the 3G Booklet, but pricing was confimed to be somewhere around 570 Euros.

    570 Euros ?! What is Nokia thinking? And this is the price without VAT, since Nokia always gives prices without VAT. I seriously doubt the 12-hour battery life and a 3G USB modem is worth about 50 Euros (retail, without subsidies or data plan). So what is the reason to price this one over 50% more than the price of the typical netbook? Nokia is losing market share on the mobile phones market, but the company management and marketing teams still don’t seem to get a grasp on reality.
