We hope you still remember OCZ’s initial plan of releasing what it calls as a DIY Neutrino netbook. Well, the said netbook was officially announced by OCZ.

And as previously reported the OCZ Neutrino netbook will not come with a default memory, storage and OS specifications upon your purchase. It’s up to you to determine how much storage and memory you would like to have as well as what OS your Neutrino netbook should run.

So, you can load your Neutrino netbook with up to 2GB of RAM, 30GB-250GB SSD or 250GB HDD. You can also choose to have it installed with Windows XP or gOS/Ubuntu Linux OS. In addition, the netbook will also support external display of up to 1600×1200, 4-in-1 card reader which you would need to specify upon purchase.

As for its standard specs, we have the following:

  • 10-inch WSVGA (1024×600), LED Backlight
  • Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz
  • Intel 945GSE+ICH7M Chipset
  • Integrated Micro Pad
  • 4 cell 220mAh battery
  • 1.3MP web cam with built-in microphone
  • Wi-Fi
