Brad of Liliputing was lucky enough to experience all the extravaganzas happening right now at CES 2010 (lucky guy!) and of course being a netbook afficionado like us, Brad has been on the look-out for netbooks and other ultraportable devices that are being display at the gig.

One of the most interesting find that Brad had was an unknown/unannounced Asus Eee PC 1201NL. Yes, of course, there have been some Eee PC 1201 before but what makes this Eee PC interesting is the fact that it doesn't come with an OS yet.  So, you are given the option to load whatever OS you prefer to use with it. Of course, if the Eee PC 1201NL should arrive the market in that state, you can just imagine how affordably priced it will be.

Anyway, the Eee PC 1201NL which comes in 4 models sport the old Intel Atom N270 CPU and NVIDIA ION graphics.  Display is 12.1-inch, keyboard is chicklet-type, and the machine comes in black case.

No information on release date. But an Asus representative told Brad that it should be $20-$30 dollar cheaper than the Eee PC 1201N which is currenlty priced $484 at Amazon.

  1. Excuse me, but do I have this right? For a $20-30 savings, I get an N270 instead of an N330 and no OS? I’d pay the extra money for the dual core processor and throw away the OS if I didn’t like it! Who masterminded this?
