Panasonic Offers Toughbook CF-31 Tough Laptop


Panasonic has a new rugged laptop aptly called the Toughbook CF-31 in its list of product offerings. The device passes IP65 and MIL-STD-810G requirements. This means that the device is of military-grade durability that can withstand shocks, drops, rain, sand, high altitudes, vibrations, thermal shock, humidity, and other common factors in extreme environments. It likewise carries Energy Star and ISO Certification which means this rugged notebook is energy-efficient and complies with environmental standards.

For its hardware specifications, users can opt for either an Intel Core i5 vPro or an Intel Core i3 CPU to run the notebook. For the display, Panasonic provides a touchscreen LCD spanning 13.3 inches. an AMD Radeon HD 7750M os responsible for the graphics while a maximum of 256GB SSD allows for storage. There is also 4 GB of RAM and even a DVD burner should users need it.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 3G and 4G support. Moreover, users can attach the notebook to peripherals via USB 3.0, VGA, and HDMI ports. GPS navigation, a smartcard reader and a fingerprint reader could also be useful in the field, as well as a backlit keyboard and a webcam. On a single charge, the notebook offers up to 13 hours of usage. These specifications come in a magnesium alloy case that comes with a handle to facilitate carrying.

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 laptop may be obtained starting this July.
