Pegatron Started Production of 15-inch Fiberglass Acer Ultrabooks

According to sources, international sales of ultrabooks are anticipated to significantly boom in the second quarter of the year with the aid of latest Intel’s processor so far, the Ivy Bridge. As well as to expect a lot more of market sales in the latter months due to the upcoming Windows 8 from Microsoft.

Hence, with these reported figures, it’s a usual thing for the active slimmer notebook vendors to expand the production of ultrabooks. Just like with Acer which happens to release a 15-inch fiberglass ultrabook between the days of April and May.

In fact, Pegatron has given the task to produce this new product of Acer and has started monthly shipments of 100,000 units since mid-March. Meanwhile, Pegatron aims to ship at least 18 million notebook units this 2012, and may still boost depending on the target shipments Acer demands.

While most ultrabook manufacturers focused on 13 inches versions of ultra slim laptops last year, it is believed that this 2012, the 15-inch ultrabooks will now dominating the market.
