Pine Trail Technical Docs Revealed

Intel has now officially released documents regarding the specifications and other information regarding their recently announced Atom processors. They also have a couple of tables comparing this round’s CPUs versus the older models.

The N400 series is for the mobile devices like netbooks and tablets. Unlike the previous Atom CPU, this one integrates the graphics processing and CPU in one die. This makes for a more low-power CPU overall. The technical documents also reveal that there is no support for on board H.264 or WMV decoding or digital monitor outputs, which is not surprising given that these are for low-powered devices. What’s sad though is even if you get around to putting Flash 10.1 on these devices, you still won’t be able to play HD video.
